Highly Civilized Human Beings?

As I write, highly civilized human beings are flying overhead trying to kill me. They do not feel any enmity against me as an individual, nor I against them. They are only doing their duty, as the saying goes. Most of them, I have no doubt, are kind-hearted law abiding men who would never dream of committing murder in private life.

On the other hand, if one of them succeeds in blowing me to pieces with a well-placed bomb, he will never sleep any worse for it. He is serving his country, which has the power to absolve him from evil.

Beware the Russian Bear!!!!!!!!

You will learn that there were, and are, no military installations in Tskhinvali. Our "buddy" Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili, another one of those corrupt politicians, like the ones which have been clinging to the rim of the toilet bowl, which our white house has now become, had chosen to attack a lot of civilian targets, killing mostly unarmed civilians, and destroying schools and hospitals.

IT's ALL ABOUT CHANGE

The "Onion", an outstanding satyrical web page, ran this highly doctored photo, with its usual funny comment about the high profile public figures in our national scene. Earlier, in response to Obama's slogan "CHANGE", they had recommended that we send our loose change to him. I wonder, how much change to boost his advertising campaign he got from that?

So, now the secret is out: This is where "W" and I get our news: Because the "real" world sources are just too damn depressing!

Someone is Trying to Hurry World War III !!!!

No, not this man. His name is Michel Chossudovsky, and he teaches at a university in Ottawa, Canada. According to his sources, during the night of August 7, coinciding with the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympics, Georgia president Saakashvili ordered an all-out military attack on Tskinvali, the capital of South Ossetia. The aerial bombardments and ground attacks were mostly directed against civilian targets, including residential areas, hospitals and the university, leaving 1500 civilian deaths, and depriving the survivors of water, food, electricity, and gas. The Russian bear certainly picked the right time to pounce on their errand province of Georgia (no relation to the place in the United States, where they grow peaches, even after the yankee army whipped them during the un-civil war). As you can see on the map, Georgia has a very important oil pipeline running through their territory, whence they used to send that stuff we need so urgently. The problem is, our European allies are not going to be very helpful in this case: You see, they are dependent on the Soviets fo much of THEIR oil. So where does that leave us: It's now every man for himself, and the devil take the hindmost, I think.

IT's ALL ABOUT OIL

For those of us who have no idea why some raving idiots among leaders feel once again compelled to kill civilians with their outrageously expensive military machines, here's the deal: Georgia (NO relation to the southern US state that fought against the "Union" during the US civil war), basically broke away from the Russian sphere of influence, in order to make a separate deal with the US and other "western" powers, and South Ossetia, one of their provinces, fairly recently broke away from the breakaway Georgia. Since there is a lot of money involved, both the US and Russia are now pissed.
