Gruesome Harvest: American Casualties in Iraq

In his book: "A Republic, Not an Empire", Pat Buchanon, reminded Americans that by abandoning the foreign policy rooted in the wisdom of our Founding Fathers and the giants of American statesmanship - George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Alexander Hamilton, John Adams, John Quincy Adams, Henry Clay, and Andrew Jackson will always have extremely serious consequences, which are inevitably borne by our nation's sons and daughters. So far, they have paid a very high price for ignoring Pat's warning. Since our war against the people of Iraq began, they have suffered at least 4237 deaths, and over 100,000 wounded. In Afghanistan we are now up to 644 military deaths, plus 317 deaths of our coalition partners in Iraq, 422 other military deaths, and at least 446 deaths of our contractors in Iraq.

Unfortunately, this is only part of the story, and we continue to slide down a slippery slope. If we continue to stumble along in that politically sensitive region and Pakistan's nuclear weapons fall into the hands of our enemies, who knows what horrors we will then be forced to confront? The first message of the Pakistani government to General David Petraeus, when he took command of the region was that they did not want any more bombings in Pakistan. The first message by Hamid Karzai was the same. But would Obama listen? NOO!!
I believe that both wanted a timetable for the withdrawal of foreign troops: US and others from their respective countries.

US Intelligence Agencies Protect our World from Nuclear War!

On February 25, 2007, Michael Smith (left), and Sarah Baxter broke a story which saved the world from a nuclear holocaust: Some of America's most senior military commanders - four or five generals and admirals would resign if Bush ordered an attack on Iran, a source close to British intelligence said. The US Intelligence community simply did not believe that Iran had an active nuclear weapons program.

In November 2007, all 16 US intelligence agencies produced a National Intelligence Estimate that declared "with high confidence" that Iran had suspended any such program as of 2003. Dick Chaney's office tried to suppress that report and with George Bush told the chagrined Israeli government he would ignore it.

You and I, and the rest of the world owe these intelligence agencies and the high-ranking officers involved, a debt which we can never repay.

Black Death Kills al-Qaeda Operatives in Algeria

The "Black Death", that horrible plague also known as Bubonic Plague, has killed at least 40 Al-Qaeda operatives training in a forest camp in Algeria. The plague outbreak came to light when security forces found a body by a roadside. Now al-Qaeda chiefs fear the plague has been passed to some of their other cells in Algeria -or Taliban fighters in Afghanistan. The plague spreads quickly via bites from infected rat fleas, and kills within hours. Symptoms include boils in the groin, neck, and armpits. In Pneumonic Plague, airborne bacteria spread like flu. It can be in the body for more than a week- highly contageous, but not revealing tell-tale symptoms.

Olmert Humiliates George W. Bush

Actually, our United States, whose military adventures we are forced to support with our taxes, seems to be merely a minor colony of Israel, and we have to take orders from its leader, no matter how absurd. Here is the latest evidence of the bizarre nature of our status: Prime Minister Olmert had interrupted George Bush in the middle of a speech in Philadelphia, and told him to instruct Condi Rice not to vote for a UN resolution Condi herself had written. Bush did as he was told, said Olmert to the Isreali crowd to which he bragged about this absurd comedy of a flea ordering an lephant around a circus bigtop, while much of the world applauded this obscenely comical, yet tragic act.

According to Olmert, Bush was clueless about America's speech before the United Nations: "He said: "Listen. I don't know about it. I'm not familiar with the phrasing." Olmert told him: "The United States could not vote in favor....He immediately called the Secretary of State and told her not to vote in favor."

Israeli Assault Injures1.5 Million Gazans

Jonothan Cook , a courageous British freelance journalist, and the founder of the Nazareth Press Agency in February 2004, discredits most of the data currently printed about the Israeli war against the people of Gaza: So far, only the more than 4,500 Gazans who have suffered severe burns from exploding Israeli "white phosphorous" shells, shrapnel wounds from artillery rounds, broken and lost limbs from aerial bombardment, bullet wounds, etc. have been counted. Israeli officials like to include such injuries among their own soldiers as light wounds and shock. By that standards, the residents of Gaza have now endured 1.5 million wounds, or is there some doubt about whether the weeks of bombardment of Gaza, one of the most densely populated places on earth, have left the entire population in a deep, and possibly permanent, state of shock?
