I found myself thinking about this recently, while visiting the narrow strip of of northern France and Belgium that has the densest concentration of young men's graves in the world. This was the old Western Front of the "First World War", but today it is the final resting place of several million soldiers, all of those who died during the prime of their life!

Today, we need to congratulate President Obama. He did NOT scrub the mission to "GET" bin Laden. In fact, it may be that President Obama single-handedly came up with the technique to "pull this off". You see, the military wanted to go in there and bomb, as they always do. They wanted to go in there to drop missiles and launch bombs. But President Obama, perhaps the only qualified member in the room to deal with this, insisted on the use of Special Forces. No one else in the room thought of this. Not a single intelligence national security adviser, came up with the idea of using SEAL Team 6, or any of the Special Forces. Our military wanted to go in there and scorch the earth, leaving no evidence or anything after the mission, but President Obama single-handedly understood what was at stake here: He alone understood the need to get DNA to prove the death. Obama also understood the aftermath, alone understood that there would be doubting Thomases if the place were just obliterated, without finding evidence of Bin Laden's whereabouts.

There is sufficient evidence of gross media manipulation and falsification from the outset of the "protest movement" in southern Syria on March 17th. The Western media has presented the events in Syria as "part of the broader pro-democracy protest movement, spreading "spontaneously" from Tunisia, to Egypt, and from Libya to Syria. Media coverage has focused on the Syrian police and armed forces, which are accused of indiscriminately shooting and killing unarmed pro-democracy demonstrators. While these police shootings did indeed occur, what the media failed to mention is that among the demonstrators were armed gunmen as well as snipers, who were shooting at both the security forces and the protesters. The death figures presented in the reports are often unsubstantiated. Many of the reports are "according to witnesses". The images and video footages aired on Al Jazeera and CNN do not always correspond to the events which are being covered by the news reports. There is certainly cause for social unrest and mass protest in Syria: Unemployment has increased in recent years, social conditions have deteriorated, particularly since the adoption in 2006 of sweeping "economic reforms" under IMF guidance.

Attorney General Eric Holder told a House panel this month that bin Laden "will never appear in an American courtroom." Others who have examined the evidence, and the so-called "bin Laden tapes" have concluded that bin Laden is dead. US Defense Secretary Robert Gates admitted that the US has had no reliable information on the whereabouts of Osama Bin Laden in years, but the US needed a "neat" ending to its war on fghanistan. Staging bin Laden's death will be seen as a fitting end to a genocidal war for the control of energy resources. Of course, it will have to be done, so that visual identification is not possible. We suspect that when bin Laden is "killed", we'll just have to trust the folks that lied us into war to confirm they "got him". If today were April 1 and NOT May , we could dismiss the news of his death as a weird April fool's joke. As it is, we must believe that the Obama government has unlimited belief in the gullibility of Americans. Think about it! What are the chances that a person "allegedly" suffering from kidney disease, and requiring dialysis, and, in addition, afflicted with diabetes and low blood pressure, survived in mountain hideaways for a decade? "If" bin Laden were able to acquire dialysis equipment and medical care, that his condition required, would not the shipment of dialysis equipment point to his location? Why did it take ten tears to find him? Consider also the claims, repeated by a triumphalist US media celebrating bin Laden's death, that bin Laden used his millions to to bankroll terrorist training camps in Sudan, the Phillipines, and Afghanistan, sending "holy warriors" to foment revolution and fight with fundamentalist Muslim forces across North Africa, in Chechnya, Tajikistan and Bosnia? That's a lot of activity for mere millions to to bankroll, unless the US had put him in charge of our "Pentagon", but the main question is: How was bin Laden able to move his money about? What banking system was helping him? The US government has always succeeded in seizing the assets of people, and even those of entire countries, Libya being the most recent. Why not bin Laden's? Was he carrying $100 million dollars in gold coins? No doubt, President Obama was in desperate need of a victory - anything at all before the next presidential election campaign. Looks as though he found one, though it had to be fabricated out of thin air - Most Americans have been adequately trained to believe whatever bullshit our government dishes out!

UPI.com: Iran Says Israeli Jets Preparing To Strike!

Israeli fighter jets are conducting drills at a military base in Iraq, in preparation for a strike on Iran, the Islamic Republic's Press TV reported. The report said that the Israeli planes participating in the drills include F-15, F016, F-18 and F-22 fighter jets. It said they have conducted week-long exercises, flying mostly at night. Press TV said its report was based on information received from a source close to Moqtada al-Sadr's group in Iraq. Sadr is considered to be one of the most influential religious political figures in Iraq, but holds no official title. He has repeatedly called for the immediate withdrawal of US led coalition troops and the UN forces deployed in Iraq. The air drills are being conducted in collaboration with the US military, the report said. It said that Iraq was not informed of the exercises. The US maintains a number of military bases in Iraq, and the government in Baghdad is not involved in any military activities occurring there, the report said. There was no official comment on the report by Israeli government or military officials. Last month, Brigadier General Mohammed Ali Safari, the commander of the Revolutionary Guards, declared that Israeli and American military bases in the Middle East are within range of of Iran's missiles!
