Why Bush can't attack Iran

According to Giora Romm, senior researcher for the Jewish Institute for National Affairs, Assistant Director of IDF operations, defense attache to Washington, former head of the Jewish Agency, and a decorated former fighter pilot, says that George Bush does not have sufficient credit to initiate a military strike on Iran. Quoting a senior American official, Romm told the forum: "If Bush does something physical to Iran, he will be impeached." (http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-3331138,00.html)This would be particularly tru, if the Ukraine Radar/Stealth Detection System mentioned in the Rense.com article of 9-23-6, has been installed in Iran, and our attacking fighter/bombers are decimated by this advanced technology.

Scorched Earth! The end of Neocon Fantasies

I just voted, during early voting, as did millions of others, to end the reign of terror by the Bush regime, and I advise you, as patriotic Americans, to follow my lead. Not only did I vote NO for every Republican canidate, but I refused to provide unopposed Republicans with a vote.

Mr. President, your Iraqi adventure is the end of every perverse fantasy of your administration. Our armed force, our army and air force, are being annihilated by those of our enemies, who are responding to your misguided policy. What is our adminstration hiding from American voters?

On October 10, 2006, Iraquis who disagree with Hallibuton's plans for their country lobbed mortar and rocket rounds into our Forward Base Falcon, 13 kilometers south of the "Green Zone" in Baghdad. The BBC's Andrew North, in Baghdad, said the explosions started at about 2300 (11PM), and continued as huge fires spread throughout the base.

On the next morning, of of the 3000 men inside the base, over 300 Americans, including US Army and Marines, CIA agents and US translators were casualties. There were 165 seriously injured and 39 suffering lesser injuries. Camp Falcon suffered major damage, and an extensive casualty list at http://www.libertyforum.org/ records a casualty list over 300.

I suspect that, in view of your misguided policies, Republicans will become an endangered species. As many others, I not only voted against Republicans who had Democrat or Libertarian opponents, but also refused to vote for those Republicans who were unopposed. I recommend that all of those who love America do the same.

Let's put an end to the reign of terror by the so-called "neocon" Republicans.

Wolfgang P. May (during the Vietnam War Captain, United States Army, Armor, advisory team leader to the Republic of Vietnam.)

"Why, of course, the PEOPLE Don't Want War".......

Goering shrugged. "Why would some poor slob on a farm want to risk his life in a war when the best he can get out of it is to come back to his farm in one piece. Naturally, the common people don't want war; neither in Russia nor in England, nor in America, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine the policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy or a fascist dictatorship or a parliament, or a Communist Dictatorship."

At that point Gilbert, who interviewed him, commented: "There is one difference. In a democracy the people have some say in the matter through their elected representatives, and in the United States only Congress can declare wars."

"Oh, that is all well and good, but, voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. IT WORKS THE SAME IN ANY COUNTRY"

The Worst President in American History

Click here for a current story in Germany's most influential newsmagazine, about our absolutely bungled, and now irrevocably lost battle against terrorism. The idiodic invasion of Iraq has created a NEW ARMY of terrorists.

Our "National Intelligence Estimate" hints that we can never leave Iraq: The longer we fight, the more Iraquis will join the fight, and there are a lot more of them than of our thinly spread army. During our invasion, we failed to secure several square miles of Iraqi ammo dumps, which have now been dispersed among the insurgents.

Historically Underutilized Leadership

Although opposed to the Vietnam War, and a friend of his family reserved a spot for him in the National Guard, Al Gore enlisted in the US Army, and arrived in Vietnam on January 2, 1971, to serve as a field reporter, first with the 20th Engineer Brigade, then with the Army Engineer Command.

Gore opposed to war? War IS Hell, though it took about eight months before I had to kill my first children. At Trung Lap, at the edge of the "Iron Triangle", we were being mortared every night, until, late one evening, a counter-mortar unit from an American division gave me the the exact coordinates of the enemy mortars. When we returned fire, civilians died, including children.

Please Don't Kill ME!!

For destoying OUR ARMY, once the finest in the world, and in whose ranks I served with pride as an armor officer, first as tank unit commander, then as Intelligence Operations Officer of our 4th US Armored Division in Germany, then in Vietnam as Civil Affairs Officer of the 1/10 Cav Squadron, as Advisory Team Leader of the 748 Regional Forces Company (Montagnard), and finally as Advisor to the ARVN battalion at Trung Lap, at the edge of the "Iron Triangle".

Even with our massive resources, it will take years for a (HOPEFULLY) more COMPETENT president to rebuild the defenses of our great nation. No, we won't kill you, but your name will forever be read with disdain in the history books of future generations.

The "Maginot Line" around Baghdad

Once apon a time, there was a very distinguished and highly intelligent Frenchman named Maginot, (see photo at left) after whom was named the most insanely and utterly useless defensive project in all of recorded history: Though the French had 10700 artillery pieces, and their British allies could muster an additional 1280, the German attacking forces could muster only 7378. Same for the other military ingredients for the battle. The allies had 108 division, the Germans only 93; the allies had 3894 tanks, the Germans only 2493. Nevertheless, the German army went around the Maginot Line and destroyed or captured the entire allied army.

The French commanders, unlike the brilliant French comanders in their distant past, were apparently ignorant of the lessons of history: For instance, the "Great Wall of China", so much admired by tourists, was a similarly tragic farce: By spreading their vast armies across such an enormous distance, the Chinese leaders guaranteed that a determined and intelligent enemy would take advantage of this dispersion and, though inferior in total strength, annihilate the enormous Chinese army, one isolated unit at a time.

Now our "president" George "W" Bush, who had the guts to fly National Guard planes around Texas, while I was wimping out of that kind of hazardous duty, content to fight North Vietnamese Regular Forces from a tiny RVN outpost at Ngo Trang, a few miles north of Kontum, and hardcore Viet Cong at Trung Lap, at the edge of the "Iron Triangle", the most hotly contested piece of real estate in South Vietnam, and the target of numerous B-52 bomber raids, whose rude impact often disturbed my unsavory dreams, usually while local VC units bombarded my advisory compound with 60mm motars, feels that he wants to repeat that brilliant Anglo/French strategy, by throwing a "Maginot Line" around Baghdad.

Apparently one of his deranged advisors, who does not have a clue about military strategy or tactics, has decided to dust off the Maginot Line strategy to win a final victory in Iraq (the Nazis called that "endsieg", and history records that it did not work out exactly as planned.

May God have mercy on our brave military, and grant that many of them survive this insane strategy, initiated by the tactically and strategically illiterate among Bush advisors! I shall indeed be praying for them, for they do not deserve this clueless commander-in-chief!
