Now, finally: The Saakashvili Biggest Moron Award

Georgian "President Mikhail Saakashvili" has called on "military top brass" to build "total defense" and accused Russia of planning to "overthrow Georgian democracy." (as if there were such an animal). While he is apparently not concerned with the terrible tragedy confronting his "beloved" people, this idiotic "president" (yea, right!). Though Saashkvili advises his dismally incompetent and totatally inadequate military to : "burn each and every square meter of the Georgian land, " beneath an enemy if it decides to invades an fortunate country like Afghanistan, whose residents only want to be left alone. As a former idiot who wanted to prevent the possibility of another brutal war against the disgusting state of "Georgian democracy", as if it were actually a viable entity in our modern world. Meanwhile, the "Georgian Army" is gaining "experience" in Afghanistan. The participation in the military operation in that country is important from a geopolitical point of view and is a "good military school", according to Saakashvili. The "president's" speech may have been merely a military revenge against a great country, to which his tiny little spec of dirt may have become at odds with the fruits of his despicable and transparent denunciation.

The Tangled Web

As I noted in my book, I had two choices: Leave the US army or go to Vietnam. I stayed, because I was proud to be an officer, and because I believed in our mission in Europe. As part of a mighty NATO army, we were keeping the Soviet Bloc forces at bay, and defending "Western Civilization". Then, I found out that OUR army was tapping the telephone lines of our Senators and Congressmen: Once a week I reported to a major in the "operations" section of our division. Normally, he would glance at my transcripts of the security violations in our headquarters, and I would answer his questions about that report. After I extended my tour of duty, and immediately received orders for combat in Vietnam, he wanted to talk. He smiled as he asked me to have a seat next to his desk: "In case I don't have an opportunity to speak to you before you leave, I just want to tell you that I am very proud of you. A lot of our officers are leaving our army, and sometimes I think that our country is tearing itself apart. Students are demonstrating against the draft, and some of them are even desecrating our American flag. I wonder, whether any of them can imagine what it is like to live under communism."He glanced briefly at the documents I had brought. "You know, these remind me of my last assignment: I was in charge of a small group of soldiers who were tapping the telephone lines of our senators and congressmen in Washington, D.C. I remember that my mouth must have dropped open, because he added quickly: "Well, not all of them. My unit was much too small for that. Just the ones who had spoken out against the war."

Our Politics of Stupidity

In his pungent article titled: "The Politics of Stupidity Strike Again", E.J. Dionne, Jr., apparently in desperation about the indescribably moronic path of our (as well as other nations' governments), can a nation remain a "superpower", if its internal politics are incorrigibly stupid? Before I began my dismal career as an advisory team leader in Vietnam, I had asked the same question, and, as the author of today's lesson in democracy points out today, we - the intelligent people of my adopted nation - certainly agree with my analysis: Start with taxes. In every serious democracy, conservative political parties feel at least some obligation to match their tax politics with their spending plans. As Mr. Dionne points out, David Cameron, the new Conservative prime minister in Britain, is a leading example, recently offering a rather brutal budget that includes severe cutbacks. Though Mr. Dionne has some doubts about some of them, at least Mr. Cameron cared enough about reducing his country's deficit that he matched these expenditures with an increase in the value-added tax from 17.5 percent to 20 percent. Here is a fiscal conservative who really is a fiscal conservative.

In my "humble" opinion, and I say this as a former Intelligence Operations Officer for our 4th US Armored Division during our "Cold War", we should not become too excited about our country's faux-pas. Here, we are talking about a gang of crooks, supported by our CIA, who have no concept of honor, or their duty to our formerly great United States of America. We already know, because I had mentioned it on a previous entry, that Herman Goering, the Reichsmarshall and Luftwaffe Chief (The Luftwaffe was the air force of my former country, before the "evil" Russians, and their "running dogs", the evil Americans, forced my mother and I to become refugees, only to watch the bombing of the beautiful city of Dresden from a nearby hill. Somewhere in my sordid past, I yearn for my old hometown, and I sympathize with the plight of the Pakistanis as well as the residents of Afghanistan, who we are now fully prepared to afflict our struggling world with an even greater and much more destructive demonstration of the awesome weapons arrayed by the United States, as well as the Russian government, to assure the complete and utter destruction of all life forms on this tiny planet!

US Representative Ron Paul: Our Bloated Intelligence Bureaucracy

In his weekly column, Ron Paul once again speaks about the excessive size of our government, and the waste and inefficiency of our military expenditures: Our foreign policy is not only bankrupting us, but also creating and antagonizing new enemies for our United States. Spending more and adding more unnecessary programs only leads us along the wrong path. Recently, the Washington Post reported about our bloated intelligence community (When I served as Intelligence Operations Officer of our 4th US Armored Division in Goeppingen, Germany, from November 1966 to August 1968, I was proud to belong to that unique community, and I still treasure the farewell silver cigar box November from the officers and ladies of the G2 Section of our Division, and the 504th MI Detachment). But I digress: The Washington Post found yjat an estimated 854,000 people hold top-secret security clearances, about 11,000 intelligence workers per al Qaeda member n Afghanistan. Ron Paul wonders - if close to 1 million people are authorized to know top secret information, how closely guarded are these secrets? Think it over!

Russia Says: Their S-300 Missile deal with Iran is NOT off!!

Dan Plesh, director of the Centre for International Studies and Diplomacy at the University of London, says: US bombers and long range missiles are ready today to destroy 10,000 targets in Iran in a few hours, since the firepower of US forces has quadrupled since 2003, accelerating under our "peace president" Obama! Of course, I did NOT vote for Obama, since I knew that his promises for peace were merely a gimmick to attract the votes of a gullible constituency! Do you still remember the "Nobel Peace Prize" given to Obama by those who truly believed that our "President" actually wanted to bring peace to our troubled world? 'They', continued Dan Plesh, (meaning the USA and Israel) are gearing up totally for the destruction of Iran in a few hours.
It seems that Dan Plesh is confused about what is likely to happen, should our foolish 'President', spurred by Israel, actually pursue an attack on Iran. If Russia pursue the sale of their S-300 missiles to Iran, their S-300's would effectively shield the Iranian nuclear sites against a potential Israeli air strike. The S-300 system, which can track targets and fire at aircraft to 120 km (70 miles) against an Israeli air strike, The S-300 features high jamming immunity, and is able to simultaneously engage up to 100 targets. When our government objected to the Russian sale, the Russians warned us that they did not need advice from our president for their arms sales!
