US rejects Qaddafi Ceasefire Offer as "Not Credible"!

Not Credible, my Ass: What the US and its client NATO really wants from Libya, is an abject surrender of all oil fields and whatever money they still have in their bank! Of course such a demand from NATO amounts to blatant "highway robbery". Therefore, forces still loyal to Gaddafi bombarded the rebel-held city of Misurata with mortars. The bombardment of Misurata was the heaviest for days, and came as western leaders - read highway robbers - were gathering for a "Group of Eight" summit in the French seaside resort of Deauville, were expected to "reiterate" their determination to force Colonel Qaddafi out. Rebel spokesmen in Misurata, the scene of some of the fiercest fighting in Libya's three-month conflict, said the mortars killed three rebels. There is a German word for this: "Willst du nicht mein Bruder sein, schlag ich dir den Schaedel ein", translated: If you don't want to be my brother, I'll beat your scull in, and that is what is really going in Libya: The stealing of that country's oil, which belongs to the citizens of that country! Spain said it was one of several foreign states contacted by the Libyan prime minister, al Baghdadi Ali al Mahmoudi, with an offer of an immediate ceasefire. The US House of Representatives will vote next week on a bill calling on President Obama to end the US military campaign in Libya. The announcement was made by the office of House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.) on Friday evening. The measure will be a rebuff of President Obama's earlier letter to congressional leaders, seeking support for the US military involvement in Libya. The measure, sponsored by liberal anti-war Rep. Dennis Kucinich cites the 1973 War Powers Resolution, which states that "any military operation not previously authorized by Congress must be halted 60 days after the president notifies Congress about the mission"! Pursuant to the the War Powers Resolution, the Kucinich measure reads, Congress "directs the President to remove the United States Armed Forces from Libya by not later than the date that is 15 days after the date of the adoption of this resolution." Meanwhile, the House on Thursday overwhelmingly voted to prohibit ground troops from being sent to Libya, and only narrowly defeated a measure to force President Obama to lay out plans to end the Afghanistan war. The measure, passed by a 416-5 vote, was an amendment to a $690 defense bill that also limits Obama's authority on handling "terror suspects" and reducing the US nuclear weapons stockpile under the new START treaty with Russia!

Press TV: Afghan Blast Kills Police Chief, Troops

A massive bomb explosion in northern Afghanistan has killed at least seven people, including three German soldiers and a regional police chief: The bomb went off inside Takhar Province Governor Abdul Jabar Taqwa's office complex, leaving him injured. Three German soldiers and four Afghans including General Mohammed Daoud, and the chief of police for Takhar province. NATO's military commander for northern Afghanistan, German general Markus Kneip, survived the attack, according to a NATO spokesman. Police said the attack occurred while officials were holding a meeting there. The Taliban have claimed responsibility for the attack. Roadside bombs or improvised explosive devices are by far the most lethal weapons Taliban militants have used against foreign troops and Afghan forces. Violence has been on the rise in the north, with US-led foreign coalition sending more troops to the region in a bid to push harder into militant-held areas. The deadly incident comes as Taliban militants are believed to have been making inroads in different parts of Afghanistan. Last year was the deadliest for foreign military forces deployed in Afghanistan, with over 711 soldiers killed. So far this year, at least 206 foreign soldiers, most of them Americans have been killed in Afghanistan. The rising number of casualties has increased opposition to the Afghan war in NATO member states.

"President" Obama has subtly changed Washington's public explanation of its goals in Libya, claiming that he wants to assure her people freedom from 40 years of tyranny, which is what Americans got, once Obama became our "president". If regime change is now our goal in Libya, Mr. Obama's trip through Europe this week (though it was a pleasure to get rid of him for a while), was highlighted about how much time the NATO allies have to "finish the job of killing even more Libyans", though Obama claims to be their, and our "friend". Mr. Obama has urged "strategic patience", expressing confidence that over time, the combination of bombing, sanctions, and import cutoffs will force Colonel Qaddafi from power. In Obama's book of Grimm's fairy tales, everything is possible, but yu's gots to believe! But in Europe, where reality still prevails, patience is calculated differently. Many countries are struggling with the rapid pace of operations, and some, like Norway, have already said they will sharply reduce their forces beginning next month! Colonel Qaddafi, according to NATO officials, has a calculation of his own under way: Indicted by the "International Criminal Court", he now has few places to go, and nothing to lose from waiting out NATO and betting that European public opinion will tire of the bombing campaign and its cost!

Though the loss of the Egyptian tyrant Mubarak was grievous, it was not irretrievable: There is an American-backed counter-revolution under way in Cairo, though seduced with new bribes and power-shifting from the street to political groups that did not initiate the revolution. As always, the "western" aim is to stop authentic democracy and reclaim control. Hence, the NATO attack on Libya, with the UN Security council assigned to mandate a bogus "no fly zone" to protect civilians! Having watched our US fighter planes near Trung Lap, Vietnam dropping their bombs, I am here to tell you that bombing is not an exact science!

Speculation that Perry is the Bilderberg's group's ace card was prompted by the current political climate, which can largely be gleaned from the fact that Perry is a longtime, unwavering supporter of the NAFTA Superhighway and related infrastructure projects. These pave the way for the Bilderberg-supported North American Union (NAU) proposal that would merge the US, Canada, and Mexico!

NATO launched a fourth night of air strikes on Tripoli on Thursday, leaving smoke rising from Libyan leader Muamar Gaddafi's compound , after the United States said: A Ceasefire offer from Libya was NOT credible! Several large explosions rocked Tripoli late on Thursday night, and a column of smoke was seen rising from Gaddafi's Bab al-Aziziyah base, according to a Reuters correspondent. Forces loyal to Gaddafi launched the heaviest bombardment on the rebel-held city of Misrata for days earlier on Thursday, as "Western" leaders gathered for a Group of Eight summit in the French seaside resort of Deauville. Rebel spokesmen in Misrata, scene of some of the fiercest fighting in Libya's three month old conflict, said a mortar attack there killed three rebels. Suleim Al-Faqih said the Misrata clashes started when rebels attacked Gaddafi forces, who were using an excavator to dig a trench to block the road: "We fired on them and advanced. They fell back and started firing mortars," he said. At a news conference in Misrata late on Thursday, Fathi al Bashaagha, a member of the town's military council, said rebel forces advanced four kilometers west on Thursday and destroyed weapons depots belonging to Gaddafi loyalists before falling back to their front line on Misrata's outskirts.
