Anak! To fill one's mouth with water, is a Hebrew idiom meaning refusing to comment. It successfully describes the reaction of the Israeli Administration and the Hebrew media to the ongoing
putsch in Egypt. It was obvious that Israel supports the coup d'etat that deposed President Morsi, who is closely related to the Muslim Brotherhood. Yet, saying that openly was taboo. Endangering the Seven Seas,, they filled their mouths with water. Thus, while preparing this article, I just browsed the Hebrew media for pictures of the event. Their chit-chat was irrelevant. Egypt July 2013: Prayers amidst a coup d'etat. Predatory States: Operation Condor and Covert War in Latin America. I found a good one in the largest paid newspaper Yediot Ahronot. While downloading it, I noticed its strange name. Since I write my articles on Notepad, skipping html writing software after a fastidious failed attack in 2009, I need to edit the name, or at least to introduce it manually into the articles. Commercial websites feature machine generated names. These are long strings of random numbers and letters to avoid duplicate names. Yet, this picture, reproduced at the top of this page, was different. It shows an Egyptian man and reads Revolution in Egypt. The file name was anak, which is Hebrew for giant. Other images in the article were named anak 1, anak 2, and so on, creating an alliteration that left no room for considering this a random fluke of their publishing software. Egypt July 2013, Protests and a coup d'etat. State Violence and Genocide in Latin America. In a minimalistic way intended for those understanding its culture, Israel was showing its joy for yet another successful tampering with the Arab World. Giant! Great 1! Great 2! We were involved! The Mark of the Beast. Shhhh! It is a secret! Surprisingly, not even the Egyptians know what happened. Was that a coup d'etat by the military? Was the event a legitimate application of unknown constitutional clauses? Was it a military putsch, a popular revolution, or just regular protests that went out of control? Can a general appear on the television and announce that the President is deposed? Does Colonel General Abdul Fatah al Sisi, Chairman of the Supreme Council pf the Armed Forces of Egypt, think that Egypt is another South American banana republic saying Amen to a CIA Operation Condor? Who gave him such illegitimate authority? Reports were odd even after the event. Morsi supporters claimed that he still was the president while the army announced he was under custody together with Muslim Brotherhood leaders, while a Justice was sworn as temporary president. As these lines are written, blood is being spilled on Cairo's streets after the Friday's prayers.

This is what an Islamic revolution looks like. Thus ends Islamic Revolution lite. Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi has fallen in a coup d'etat. Morsi's demise marks the end of the Muslim Brotherhood's failed strategy of accomodation with the West. Nobody denies that the majority of Egyptians won Egypt's first ever free and fair elections. But Egypt's Western backed secularist comprador elite was not ready for real democracy. They were not willing to accept the results of free and fair elections. So with the help of their Western paymasters, they hamstrung Egypt's economy, pointed the finger of blame at Morsi, duped impressionable young people into flooding the streets, and engineered a coup d'etat. The anti-Morsi coup has strangled Egypt's democracy in its cradle. It may also have ended the Muslim Brotherhood's misguided, hopeless attempt to Islamize Egyptian society while remaining in the Western orbit. Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood made a terrible mistake by forging an alliance with the West and its regional puppets. The Brotherhood has become a tool of the Zionist dominated West, which seeks to divide and conquer the Middle East by fomenting a sectarian civil war between Sunni and Shia Muslims. Shaykh Yusuf al Qaradawi, once respected Brotherhood intellectual, has disgraced himself by becoming a spokesman for Zionist instigated, Saudi assisted anti Shia sectarianism. Perhaps President Morsi thought that if he respected the the West's dictates to join their war on Syria, keep the Gaza border closed, maintain the Camp David surrender treaty, enslave future generations of Egyptians to the International Monetary Fund, and let the Egyptian Army continue to rule as it did under Mubarak, he would be allowed to add a bit more shariah to the Egyptian civil code. It was a devil's bargain to begin with. And the devil did not even keep the bargain. President Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood need to go back and study the works of the Ayatollah Ruholla Khomeini, the father of the political Islamic awakening that is shaking the globe. Ayatollah Khomeini insisted that there is no room for sectarianism in the Islamic awakening. Muslims are Muslims first and foremost, whether they follow the Hanafi, Malaki, Hanbali, Shafiyi, or Ja'fari law schools. The Muslim Brotherhood should stop inciting sectarianism, and stand up for Islamic unity. Secondly, Ayatollah Khomeini understood that all Muslims have a moral obligation to side with the world's oppressed, the mustazafin, in the struggle against their oppressors. The resistance against empire, apartheid, Zionism, aggressive war, and all forms of racism and injustice is also the struggle of all Muslims.

An Egyptian Nails the West on Morsi and the Brotherhood. People power wins twice in a row, so far. Egypt's Revolution II continues to roll out as we had anticipated from reading the tea leaves, so far. The main Western hypocrites have been performing on queue, also as expected. But they should be more embarrassed this time. Although the Snowden case wiped the Syrian news off the news, it did not wipe out our memory banks. So when we hear British, American, and French foreign ministers uttering concern over the removal of a democratic government, we almost have to excuse ourselves to not throw up in public. Such comments from such officials are proof that they consider all the rest of us morons with memories that don't last more than a day, or a few days for the really smart people. They all have been calling for the continuing, actually an escalation of the terror campaign against an elected Assad government, of which I am not a fan, but I am also not a voter there. The young people of Egypt did not reach out to foreign militia training in neighboring countries, and to be armed and paid by the citizens of their country, so they could bathe Egypt in blood. They have not called for Western heavy weapons, or a No Fly Zone over the Muslim Brotherhood. They have not called on the Israelis to crank up the car and truck bombing campaigns that they are known in the world wide Intel community for being very talented. No Muslim Brotherhood leader has been assassinated, had his head cut off on cellphone video, or his family members taken hostage. All these things are being done
by democratic Western countries and the Persian Gulf state proxies. One of them, Qatar, was a big funding supporting or the brotherhood, which with their years of on the ground organizational experience gave them a substantial advantage over their first time fractured political opponents. Some Muslim Brotherhood leaders are arrested. Will they be charged with corruption? Although the MB had a long history of underground ant-Mubarak resistance, were could not know if that was motivated for Egypt's or the MB's benefit or who was supporting them behind the scenes. What appears to have
happened in the past year is that the Egyptian people found out. I as aware that the original revolutionaries, the Egyptian young people had collected 22 million signatures against the Brotherhood rule. But I did not know, which I just learned today, that they have collected these in just a month! It was an astounding accomplishment. And those wanting to tag Egypt Rev II as a coup are giving away their hand how scared to death they are of their own youth pulling of something similar and hooking up with their own army to make a few changes.

Most Americans ignore the stand of most Israelis regarding American culture. While visiting the Holy Land they are exposed almost exclusively to the English speaking, anglophile minority. If listening to the radio, they will find out British pop music is more popular the American one, an odd result of the English Mandate. The television shows a lot of British programs with Hebrew subtitles: even so many after I left, British accent sounds to me as the correct one. English schools favored English accent to the American one until a few years ago. Hebrew internet is more American oriented, foreigners are unlikely to notice that. Yet, despite that, and despite both the UK and the USA being key supporters of the Zionist Utopia, the USA is widely considered a low quality culture, a single use instantly ready item intended to be discarded as soon as possible. Upper echelons of the Israeli society are economically dependent on the USA. The small oligarchy running the country got rich in dollars, trading wheat, oil and chemicals with Uncle Obama et al. Expectedly, they are indefagitably marketing USA to the people. The Americanization of Israel is a recurrent topic in Israeli media. Adding to this fact that also the State of Israel is dependent on the USA in several strategic resources, and the fact that many Israelis consider Israel as the 51st State of the Union is not surprising. July 4, 2013, was not declared an official holiday in Israel, but shortly before a dramatic change in its holidays was announced. While preparing this article, I found the picture above. Hilarious to Israelis,the joke would be lost on Americans. Masada shall not fall a second time! Many years ago, a young Benjamin Netanyahu participated in such an event, where Israeli soldiers swear allegiance to their country. In his case, the oath was superfluous, he grew grew up among Zealots. What is the source of this odd choice? Two millennia ago, Masada was an impressive fortress overlooking the Dead Sea. Surrounded by high cliffs on all sides, an early version of the modern Israeli wall around the Palestinian territories, the place seemed unconquerable. Food reserves within the walls and sophisticated wells ensured the survival in the arid landscape. Yet, the Romans were resourceful and built a ramp all all the way up. Nowadays it is called the Snake Way, due to its undulating shape around the cliffs, and it is still the only way to reach the top by foot, the nearby cable car is a modern contrivance. When the Romans reached the top, Masada's people committed suicide to avoid captivity. Only one woman and her children survived to tell the tale. Masada drives Israel, the event is at the core of any analysis performed by Zionist leaders.

Veterans Today: Is a Palestinian Peace a Mirage or a Dream?

Netanyahu signals readiness to consider 2002 Arab peace plan. Is Bibi trying to run out the negotiation clock again, as Israel always has? Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu signaled readiness on Wednesday to consider a 2002 Arab peace plan whose terms were recently softened to include possible land swaps between Israel and the Palestinians. We are listening to every initiative, the Arab initiative has been mentioned, and we are prepared to discuss initiatives that are proposals and not edicts, he said in a speech in parliament. Netanyahu spoke during a debate on the plan, proposed at an Arab League summit 11 years ago. Israel had rejected the initiative that offered normalized ties for it with much of the Arab world, citing its call for complete withdrawal from land captured in the 1967 Middle East war as a main stumbling block, Reuters reports. Israel occupied the West Bank, Arab East Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip, areas Palestinians seek for a future state in that conflict. Echoing previous Israeli leaders, Netanyahu has ruled out a return to pre-1967 war frontiers, calling them indefensible. But a month ago, Arab states appeared to soften the 2002 plan when Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim al Thani, Qatar's prime minister and foreign minister, said Israel and the Palestinians could trade land rather than conform exactly to the 1967 lines. Netanyahu, who heads the right wing Likud party, has never endorsed the idea of territorial exchange publicly. A 2009 US diplomatic cable released by Wikileaks in 2010, said he expressed support for the concept in a meeting with U.S. legislators. In his address to the legislature, Netanyahu repeated a call to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas to return unconditionally to peace talks that collapsed in 2010 over continued Israeli settlement building on occupied land. Abbas has said Israel must first stop settlement construction in the West Bank and East Jerusalem before the US hosted negotiations can resume. Since Abbas doesn't speak Hebrew, and my Arabic is not great, I am calling on him in a language we both know and saying to him, Give peace a chance, Netanyahu said, switching to English to utter the phrase. Don't miss the opportunity, he added, saying he was prepared to make difficult decisions to move negotiations ahead, but cautioning he would take no moves that would jeopardize Israeli security. Abbas said on Tuesday: the ball is in Israeli court, and Israel needed to accept the Palestinians' demand for a settlement freeze so that talks could begin. US Secretary of State John Kerry has been trying to restart the negotiations. He has made four trips to the region since taking office four months ago and a State Department spokeswoman said on Tuesday he could return to Israel and the Palestinian territories as early as next week.

Veterans Today: Tahir II, The Egyptian Revolution moves forward!

If it was a coup, it was a people's coup with the army siding with the folks twice twice in a row now. I was working on my post Morsi purge write up after taking a break from indulging in a prediction piece the day before, one which I will now frame and display in a prominent place. But just as I began to organize my thoughts for a follow up piece that would not be repetitive of what I had already done, here comes brother Feroze who had already covered the points I was thinking of and done so in spades. No matter how people try to spin this, at the end of the day the young Egyptians who brought who brought Mubarak down and suffered the most for it, put 22 million signatures together which gave the army complete cover that they are pulling a coup. All of late last night I was transfixed & watching both Al Jazeerah & CNN as the developments unfolded in Cairo & across Egypt. It was clear from the popular mobilisation in Tahrir, at the Presidential Palace, Alexandria, Suez to Mansoura & in every major city across Egypt, that not only had the Morsi-led Muslim Brotherhood lost the popular mandate of the people, but more so had never understood it, due to their narrow Islamic perspective. The mobilisation & the determined & buoyant mood far outstripped even the anti-Mubarak uprising in 2011. The Tahrir Revolution I was a Peoples Uprising & not only an Islamic Awakening & this was what the Ikhwaan &the Salafists did not comprehend. The revolution was for a democratic, inclusive, plural & diverse Egypt, where the various segments of society would all be given their rightful due. But the Islamists in their fervor entirely misconstrued the mandate & thus betrayed the soul of Egypt & its ancient culture & civilization. Thus it was the Youth who once again seized the initiative & launched the Tamarod Movement Rebellion & collected 22, 2.2 Crore signatures in 3 months. Morsi had 13 Million votes & had promised to mobilize 1 Million people on the 30th of June. The numbers surpassed all calculations & finally we had figures ranging up to 33 Million Egyptians across the country, who came out as they felt that the Revolution had been betrayed because the entire political & social space was being hegemonised by thr MB-Salafists. The economy was worsening, the Government was promoting religious extremism & sectarianism, Coptic Christians were utterly marginalized.

On June 30, London's Guardian headlined New NSA leaks show hoe US is bugging ite European allies. Exclusive: Edward Snowden papers reveal 38 targets including EU, France, Italy. Berlin accuses Washington of cold war tactics. One document includes 38 embassies and missions, calling them targets. Extraordinary spying methods are used. Bugs are planted in electronic communications gear. They monitor cable transmissions, doing so with specialized antennae. Targets include EU nations, Japan, Mexico, South Korea, India and Turkey. China, Russia, Iran, and numerous other countries are spied on intensively. One bugging method is codenamed Dropmire. According to a 2007 document it is implanted on the Cryptofax at the EU embassy, DC. It refers to a bug placed in a commercially available encrypted fax machine used at the mission. It is used to send cables back to foreign affairs ministries in European capitals. NSA spying disclosures long predate Snowden's revelations. He connected important dots. He provided additional information. He made millions aware globally, previously they did not know. America's allies and enemies do. Perhaps they now know more, perhaps they criticized privately, but probably they were silent, they do the same things. Germany's Justice Minister Sabine Leuthheusser Schnarrenberger wants an explanation. Perhaps she already has one, but she did not say. If confirmed, she said, Washington's behavior reflects Cold War tactics. It is beyond imagination that our friends in the US view Europeans as the enemy, she stressed. The French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius added: These acts, if confirmed, would be completely unacceptable. We expect the American authorities to answer the legitimate concerns raised by these press revelations as quickly as possible. German and French officials are too sophisticated not to know this.
