An Analysis of how we got into the Mess of Afghanistan

The "Soviet Union" collapsed in December 1991, allowing the people in their previously held Caspian Sea area to form independent nations, with each one of them hungry for income. Since all of these new countries sat atop an enormous oil cache, our US and other countries were more than interested in lending them a hand. By 1995, several international oil giants decided to develop a pipeline from Turkmenistan through Afghanistan to the Arabian Sea ports in Pakistan. By 1997, Taliban representatives were repeatedly flown to Unical's corporate headquarters in Sugarland, Texas, and to Washington, DC, where they discussed the project with Unocal and Clinton administration representatives. Since the Taliban failed to accept the "kind offer" presented by our government, and with civil unrest in Afghanistan, the project was put on hold. This prompted John Mareska, then VP of International Relations for Unocal Oil, to testify before the US House of Representatives in February 1998, stating that the Taliban government should be removed and replaced by a government acceptable to the US government, as well as the Unocal corporation. During the following year, the Taliban formally said NO to the pipeline deal, instead signing an agreement with Turkmenistan and Pakistan. The rest, as they say, is history.

It's Official: The US Is A Police State!!

On September 24, Jason Ditz reported that the FBI has begun a number of raids against the homes of antiwar activists in Illinois, Minneapolis, Michigan, and North Carolina, claiming that they are seeking evidence relating to activities concerning the "material support of terrorism". Homeland Security secretary Janet Napolitano had earlier said on September 10: "We need to counter violent extremism right here at home. In that morning's FBI foray into the homes of American citizens of conscience, this means antiwar activists, whose activities Napolitano equates with "the material support of terrorism", or, as Vietnam era anti-war protesters were blamed with giving material support of communism. The federal police agency and the judges who signed the warrants do not regard anti-war protesters as Americans exercising their Constitutional rights, but, in the eyes of Napolitano, are charged with giving material support to communism. Basically, the FBI raids consider that any Americans who still choose to exercise their rights as citizens are merely despicable and unpatriotic elements offering material support to terrorism. My father, mother, grandmother, and I, who served as Advisory Team Leader in Vietnam, see a dangerous example, for the dangerous path in which Napolitani is heading.

Michael Moore: Obama's War in Afghanistan is NOT funny anymore!

Wars are NEVER funny: My Mother, Grandmother, and I once died in the destruction of Dresden by US and British bombing attacks. In Vietnam, where I served as Advisory Team Leader in the Iron Triangle, my team and I were mortared every night, until I decided to retaliate, killing an old man, an old woman, and their grandson. Once a week, I had the pleasure of driving over a mined road from Trung Lap to Cu Chi, over a heavily mined road, but only after guzzling a lot of beer, so that I would not be able to feel the pain, should one of these amateurish go off unexpectedly. As Michael Moore suggests, we invaded Afghanistan nine years ago. Supposedly, we wanted to capture Osama Bin Laden, but he escaped from meeting and fighting our "modern" high tech Army. There is NO WAY we can defeat the Taliban - Like the Vietcong in Trung Lap, they enjoy too much popular support in the rural areas. Our CIA tells us that they enjoy too much support in the rural areas - in other words - throughout their country. The Taliban, not us, nor their "govern- ment" control that country. After nine years, we've only run the Taliban out of 3% of Afghanistan. Our troops, as well as their commanders, are still trying to learn the local language, the culture, and the customs of their local culture.
Please on Michael Moore's web site, and read: "A Senseless War Begins Its 10th Year". Michael will surely convince you that our war in Afghanistan is thoroughly hopeless!

More Inflation fears, courtesy of our spendthrift government!

Ludwig von Mises once said: If one rejects laissez faire (An economic doctrine that opposes governmental regulation of, or interference in commerce beyond the minimum necessary for a free enterprise system to operate according to its own economic laws) on account of man's fallibility and moral weakness, one must for the same reason also reject every kind of government action.) Inflation fears are heating up as Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke gave a speech in Boston on Friday, causing further frantic flight into gold by those fearful of the coming "quantitative easing" the Fed is set to deliver in November. Others view gold as a "short term" investment engaged in immediate profit-taking after Bernanke's speech: Gold is more correctly viewed as insurance against bad monetary policy decisions that erode the value of savings. Those bad decisions now keep coming at an even faster clip, and we hear more and more talk of currency wars, especially between the dollar, the Chinese yuan, the Australian dollar, and the Euro. As the economies of the world continue to stagnate or contract, monetary policy decisions become more relevant to people who once thought this topic as arcane.

Obama Hires a Hustler!!!!

Tom Donilon, one of Obama's closest aides, whom he recently appointed to the critical job of national security advisor, was the chief lobbyist for Fanny Mae from 1999 to 2005. He successfully pressured Congress to give Fannie Mae the green light to speed past any sound regulation. Indeed, had Congress endorsed the barest semblance of regulation of the Fanny-Mae led housing scam, it would have been stillborn instead of being a very much alive Frankenstein creation. Fannie Mae paid Donilon, a longtime Democratic Party operative, $15 million to lobby Congress to gut the power of government regulators to check the scandalous behavior in what would have been judged a crime until a majority of pro-Wall Street Republicans and Democrats in Congress rewrote the laws. He was also a top executive at Fannie Mae during the period when cooking the books to increase executive compensation would later lead to a $400 million fine. In pursuit of those profits, Fannie Mae entered into partnership with Angelo Mozilo's shady Countrywide Financial, and together they produced the computerized CLUES and MERS credit verification and mortgage registration systems that are the heart of the housing swindle. Mozilo at least was finally slapped with a huge fine last week, while Donilon has yet to return a penny.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel declares "death of multiculturalism"

Chancellor Angela Merkel of Germany has declared the death of multiculturalism in my former home country, saying that it has failed utterly in what has been interpreted as a startling shift from her previous views. The German leader said it had been an illusion to think that Germans and foreign workers could "live happily side by side". "We kidded ourselves for a while that they wouldn't stay, but that's not the reality," she said at a conference of the youth wing of her Christian Democratic Union party at the weekend, referring to the "guest workers" who arrived in Germany to fill a labor shortage during the economic boom of the 1960s. "Of course the tendency had been to say, 'let's adopt the multicultural concept and live happily side by side, and be happy to be living with each other'. But this concept has failed, and failed utterly," she said, without elaborating on the nature and causes of this failure. Merkel's verdict marks a shift in her previously liberal line on immigration which had always put her at odds with the more conservative wing of her party. While she stressed in the same speech that immigrants were welcome in Germany and that Islam was a part of the nation's modern-day culture, her remarks positioned her closer to Horst Seehofer, the Bavarian state premier of the Christian Social Union, who last week called for an end to immigration from Turkey and Arab countries.

The CIA, the KKK and the USA

By assigning covert action roles to our CIA, it appeared as if the White House and Congress had legitimized the KKK (Ku Klax Klan to operate globally. The CIA is today committing many of the gruesome crimes against foreigners that the KKK once inflicted on Americans of color, mainly because the CIA today resembles the "Invisible Empire" of the KKK which once spread terror across the south and Midwest. Aside from the fiery crosses, this is what the CIA is doing globally. The only difference appears to be that the KKK consisted of self-appointed vigilantes who regarded themselves as above the law when they perpetrated their crimes. By contrast, the CIA acts as the agent of the American government, often at the highest levels, and at times at the direction of the White House. Its crimes typically are committed in contravention of the highest established international law such as the Charter of the United Nations as well as the US Constitution. What's more, the "Agency", as it is known, derives its funding from from an imperialist-minded Congress, and it has no qualms about fattening its budget from drug money and other illegal sources. At one time in my Army career, even I was offered an opportunity of melting into their ranks, when Steve Mayfield, one of their agents, tried to persuade me to spy for the United States in East Germay. Steve and I were having a delightful dinner in the best restaurant in Germany, when Steve suggested that I spy for the CIA in East Germany. Of course, he referred to my boss, Colonel Aantero Aakkula, or whom I had an enormous amount of respect: The Colonel had once been involved in espionage in his home country of Finland. Talk to Aakkula, talk to Aakkula, was Steve's persistent message. My boss, who was like a father to me, was not amused: If you take that assignment, I can guarantee that you WILL be caught, and you will spend the remainder of your life in a rat-invested East German jail!

Richard Gage & Gregg Roberts: Forensics refute "911 Investigation"

This is the actual 10-minute statement read by Richard Gage, AIA, to the media at the AE911Truth press conference at the National Press Club in Washington DC on September 9, 2010: I'm a member of the American Institute of Architects, and have been a licensed architect for 22 years, as well as the founder of the non-profit organization: Architects and Engineers for 911 Truth. We now have more than 1,270 architect and engineer petition signers. Collectively, we have more than 25,000 years of building and technical experience. We are here to inform you that we have uncovered evidence that the allegations from the "official" investigations are deeply flawed. For example, a technologically advanced, highly energetic material has been discovered in World Trade Center dust from the 9/11 catastrophe. There were high concentrations of unusual previously molten iron-rich microspheres in the WTC dust, which can only have been formed during the destruction of the World Trade Center at temperatures far higher than can be explained by the jet fuel and office fires, which were allegedly the cause of the World Trade Center's destruction.
