The "IMPOTENCE" of Elections!!

What REALLY happened in OUR United States "elections" on November 2 ??Jobs offshoring, which began on a large scale with the collapse of the Soviet Union, has merged the Democrats and Republicans into ONE party with two names. The Soviet collapse changed attitudes in "socialist" India and communist China, and opened those two countries, with their large excess supplies of labor, to Western capital. Pushed by Wall Street and Wal-Mart, American manufacturers moved production for US markets offshore to boost profits and shareholder earnings by utilizing cheap labor. The decline of the US manufacturing work force reduced the political power of unions and the ability of unions to finance the Democratic Party. The end result was to make the Democrats dependent on the same sources of financing as Republicans. Prior to this development, the two parties, despite their similarities, represented different interests and served as a check on one another. The Democrats represented labor and focused on providing a social safety net. Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, food stamps, unemployment insurance, housing subsidies, education, and civil rights were Democratic issues. Democrats were committed to a full employment policy, and would accept some inflation to secure more employment. The Republicans represented business, focussing on curtailing big government in all its manifestations from social welfare spending to regulation.

Which of America's Ward are "humanitarian interventions"

The definition of "humanitarian intervention" really, really, depends on your perspective: During the Second World War, I had the unmitigated pleasure to observe the British and American destruction of the beautiful city of Dresden from a nearby hill, approximately 10 kilometers from the doomed city. We had arrived in Dresden only a few hours ago, and were fed, wined, and dined by a friendly group of red cross ladies, who were doomed to be murdered by British and American bombers. Even on this date, after surviving my "special war" as Advisory Team Leader in Vietnam, the destruction of Dresden was my darkest hour on this planet. You may wonder why I even considered joining the US Army and why I fought for those who killed my friends in Dresden. Unfortunately, I do not know. Though time often heals old wounds, I should have identified with the civilians in Vietnam, who took up arms against the United States. To some extent, I did: During my last mission near Cu Chi, the huge base of our 25th Infantry Division, I stumbled across several 55 gallon drums, which were tied to the shrubbery on the banks of a twenty-five wide river, and were therefore invisible to our helicopter pilots. Purely because of my memory of the American destruction of Dresden, I failed to report the "enemy" hiding place, and the rest is history!

Yemen - New Venue for US Geopolitical Great Game

When Adolf Hitlers was in trouble with our German economy, he decided to invade Poland, in order to divert the attention of his ignorant and restless masses from our serious economic problems. The ruse did work, but we paid for it with the lives of our dead soldiers, and aroused the anger of the entire civilized world. The rest, as they say, is history. Now, the Obama administration has apparently decided to follow Hitler's demented path: After the obvious failure of our wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, President Obama is looking at the possibility of war against Yemen, as a new venue of their great geopolitical game. The power which controls Yemen also controls the most vital sea routes from Europe to the Middle East, South and Southeast Asia. By initiating attacks either at a US-bound aircraft or synagogues somewhere in the US, we are able to stir up a hornets nest which will give us the war we now desperately need. We were able to identify two packages containing explosives on cargo planes which initially flew from Sanaa,Yemen, with destinations in the US. One of these was found in Dubai, the other in East Midlands Airport near Nottingham, England. Both were carried by UPS, though the other by FedEx was addressed to synagogues in Chicago. "Security officials" were quick in attributing the "plot" to the Yemeni section of Al-Qaeda. Intensive searches of all cargo and passengers baggage in several US airports show that 26 more suspicious packages were detained in Yemen. On Saturday, Yemeni officials arrested a 22-year-old woman Hanan al-Samawi, a suspect in the plot, who was released on Sunday. CAN YOU SPELL CIA??

Quantitative Easing = Quantitative Screwing by Mr. Bernanke

The economy is either growing slowly, or contracting. Housing is probably going down. Unemployment? People are gradually beginning to realize that the last ten years were the worst for creating new jobs in America's history. If our citizens REALLY think about it, they will realize that it is not just the bust that is destroying jobs - there was something very wrong with the boom too. (Perhaps Obama had warned us when he told us, before his unfortunate election, that "change" will be imminent, if we choose him as "our" president. Well, he did help our weapons and munitions industry, by accelerating the war in Afghanistan. At least our weapons manufacturers, and those who work for that grisly section of our economy still has a job! But I digress: Meanwhile, the markets are still calculating, figuring, deciding what things (except for weapons) are worth! In the last couple of days, they've been thinking that maybe stocks and gold got a little too uppity: Gold has lost more than $50 in the last two days. Stocks lost ground on Tuesday, but bounced up 36 points recently. The New York Times reports that many of Japan's middle class see their living standards crumbling with the overall economy. As you can see, our country is not the only one suffering because of our insistence of pursuing wars instead of peace! Have a good day anyway, and I mean that sincerely, but the US Dollar is Doomed - ask Mr. Bernanke! By the way, I got my MBA at the University of Texas at Arlington, Texas, on the twenty-first day of May, nineteen hundred and seventy-six! At the time, the Graduate Dean was Bob F. Perkins, the Chancellor Charles A. Maistre, the President WH Nedderman, and the Chairman of the Board of Regents, Allan Shuvzer (Illegible handwriting)

What do our Upcoming US elections mean?

Stanislav Mishin, who has lived in our United States for a very long time, made it his business to speak with several American friends and acquaintances about the new "Hope" and "Change", which mainly means the Hope and Change of our Republican Party. The Republicans may win the majority of both houses of Congress, but it will be a narrow majority. The exiting Democrats are prepared to push through as many laws as possible before they are replaced. Though the sitting Republicans could help to stop this, this seems unlikely, because their opposition has always just been political theater for the masses. Though the Republicans will now have a sufficient majority to override a presidential veto, believing that they will act conservatively is a delusion, but just political theatre for the masses. Then, there are the principles on which these so-called conservatives are coming to power. Sure they want to cut spending, but on the citizens who are already unemployed: In fact, they will be the hatchet men for the Democrats, while continuing to spend on foreign wars. They will continue to spend, and bomb and bomb, though on slightly different targets, while actively supporting Islamic Jihad against Christians throughout our world. They will not bring factories or jobs back to the United States. As "free trade" zealots, they will not bring our factories or jobs back, which is the only way to hold off the continuing collapse of our US economy!

More Dirt over US Torture of Detainees in Iraq

Heinrich Himmler, and his SS would have been proud: The US government is now at the center of a growing row over the cover-up of torture of detainees in Iraq, following the leak of almost 400,000 army field reports. This prompted calls for an inquiry in the US and in the UK into whether the "coalition" was complicit in the torture and murder of civilians by Iraqi security forces. British human rights campaigners seized on the mountain of documents - posted on the whistle-blowing website Wikileaks - to demand a public inquiry to be held in the UK into the 'alleged' mistreatment of Iraqis while in UK custody. The greatest controversy will be over the apparent complicity of the American forces in covering up the widespread and brutal torture of Iraqi civilians. (While serving as Advisory Team Leader in Vietnam, though I was always looking for good intelligence information, my team and I would never stoop so low as to use torture against enemy civilians. First of all, that sort of "Intelligence" is normally useless, since the 'victims' of brutal intelligence gathering will normally confess to anything they believe their captors want to hear, just to stop the agonizing pain.). From that perspective, I find it difficult to believe that my adopted country has actually stooped so low, adopting the tactics of the SS and Heinrich Himmler. It looks to me, that we desperately need another war crimes tribunal, and incarcerate the guilty perpetrators of these heinous and inhuman acts!!

Will Russia help NATO fight its War in Afghanistan?

The British Guardian newspaper has hinted that Russia might choose to become an active participant in OUR never-ending war in Afghanistan. Our former "enemy" may be asked to make that participation in our endless war during the upcoming NATO summit in November, where Russian President Medvedev is expected to participate. The role of Russia might include the training of Afghan pilots, as well as NATO's cooperation with Russia on its border defense. Russian helicopters appear to be better suited for the war in Afghanistan than the ones owned by NATO. As British media outlets now report, 21 Russian Mi-17 transport helicopters might be available by the summer of 2010. Afghanistan was the center of the "cold war" from 1979 to 1988 because the West actively supported the Afghan opposition in its struggle against the Soviet Army. The Soviet newspaper 'Pravda' asked Igor Rodionov, the Soviet commander of their army in Afghanistan from 1985 to 1986 about that possibility: "Helicopter deliveries mean that Russian pilots and technical personnel will also be needed there. Because Afghans can not be trusted to protect the Russian crews, even more Russian soldiers will also be needed to provide the necessary security. The West called us an 'enemy', and still thinks us in that light. At the time of our struggle to pacify Afghanistan, we were looked as an enemy of the West, and still are". Please click on my headline to read the full story of Igor Rodionov, so that we no longer see that justifiably bitter old man as the "enemy" he once was!
